Burn, baby, burn.
It's a big argument about nothing. Should burning the American flag be against the law?
This isn't like defacing Mount Rushmore, flags are owned as private property. People use them as ornaments, as window curtains, as tablecloths. But there is a symbolism in flag burning that can't be denied. I've never really understood burning the flag. The flag represents almost three hundred million different American people. How can someone be angry with that many people all at the same time? Still, I feel that people should be able to express themselves freely as long as they don't do any physical harm to others, and as long as they aren't destroying someone else's property.
I long to live in a country where we are free to burn the flag,
and nobody wants to.
