Marathon Men and Women

My bro ran the Chicago marathon Sunday, his first ever. He finished in the 6000's, a good showing with over 30,000 finishers. I am in no shape to compete in that kind of event, but I really enjoyed watching it. The racers came young and old, men and women, short and tall, heavy and thin. They came from near and from the far corners of the world. I know now that the only reason I couldn't do this is because I choose to train for something else instead. It is a matter of getting single minded, choosing a training plan, and sticking to it. It is also a dedication of time, often robbing time from family and friends to do the training. Hats off to all who tried and especially those who finished.

Senor presidente, no va al Cuba

Short and sweet, Cuba is for the Cuban's.
