Adapting

I've come around full circle and actualy look forward to going in to work these days. It's true that things always look darkest just before the dawn.

Cheats, Crooks, Thieves

On NPR this morning there was a report of how some mutual fund traders were able to buy stocks at the previous day's low price after knowing the price had risen after the close of market. One more black eye for U.S. business.

Hear, hear.

A cheer for Grand Ayatollah Hossein Ali Montazeri. Once the next in line to succed the Ayatollah Khomeini, Montazeri has recalled that the late Khomeini once said that people should make their own decisions. He believes that the matter of Iran's government should be put to a popular vote. Hopefuly such thinking could help Iran move forward with no need for outside intervention or violent political upheaval.

Bad dog, no biscuit.

Sorry but a civilized nation doesn't announce that they have put the head of state from some other nation on a hit list.
I realize this has been the kind of thing done in clandestine fashion for eons, but we have not devolved as a world to the point that it can be acceptable to declare such intentions and expect allies to accept it.

Good Luck, Son

My son's wedding is Saturday. M is my oldest. I have less in common with him than I do with some of my other children, but I love him the same and wish him the best. I'm also getting a great daughter in law.
